Judy Ho, Ph. D., ABPP, ABPdN, CFMHE is a licensed and triple board certified Clinical and Forensic and Neuropsychologist, tenured professor and published author. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has extensive experience working with clients of all ages, facing a variety of challenges and issues. Dr. Judy is a tenured Associate Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology and serves as the Chair of the Pepperdine Graduate and Professional Schools Institutional Review Board. She is a two-time recipient of the National Institute of Mental Health Services Research Award and hosts an active research program to improve mental health care for high-need populations.
She has appeared as an expert commentator, panelist and host on multiple news, crime, talk and reality television programs on networks including CNN, Investigation Discovery, Lifetime, CBS, ESPN and A&E, served as a recurring guest co-host on season 10 of The Doctors and recently co-hosted CBS syndicated talk show Face The Truth starring Vivica A. Fox.
Dr. Judy specializes in comprehensive psychological testing and evidence-based treatments, and serves as an expert forensic psychology witness in civil and criminal proceedings. She speaks regularly to depression and anxiety concerns, personality disorders, behavioral and substance addiction, traumatic brain injuries and dementias, family struggles, romantic relationship issues, youth mental illness, self-sabotage behaviors, celebrity behaviors and much more.
Her new book Stop Self-Sabotage: Six Steps to Unlock Your True Motivation, Harness Your Willpower, and Get Out of Your Own Way is due out August 20th via Harper Collins.
Dr. Judy received her bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Business Administration from UC Berkeley, and her masters and doctorate from SDSU/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. She completed a National Institute of Mental Health sponsored fellowship at UCLA's Semel Institute.
